How did the idea to formulate the new message come about?
We had many discussions about the boundaries of communication. Some questions arose: How can we communicate with other civilizations without colonizing them? Who should speak for the human species? What should be included in such a message? This is how the idea to organize a global open call came about. The work of Stanisław Lem was a great inspiration.

We deliberately reject technologically advanced data carriers and plaques, even the gold-plated ones. We choose an archive that is as natural and common as possible.
Are there any criteria for the selection of materials submitted to the project?
No. As a rule, we do not reject any submitted materials. This will only happen when the law or copyright are violated.
Will the uploaded material be edited?
The video footage will be merged into one video. We will not impose any coherent narration or manipulate the recordings in any way, because we want to respect the intentions and vision of our co-authors. However, the submitted video may be shortened if its length exceeds 30 seconds. So, as long as you follow the technical requirements and terms and conditions, you can be sure that your submitted video will be presented unchanged as part of our installation.
